Lisa – also known as Nana!
My name is Lisa. I was diagnosed with MS about 20 years ago. I used to dance at the clubs when I was younger, and I loved getting lost in the music, dancing to the beat. The feeling was exhilarating! I’ve been in a wheelchair for 7 years now, and the thought of dancing really never entered my mind.
Last year I suddenly started moving my arms and “dancing” while listening to music at home sitting on my scooter. Something in me suddenly woke up and brought back memories of dancing and the exhilarating feeling I used to have.
That brings me to The Wheel World. The Wheel World is a place where people can get together on Zoom and dance while sitting down in their own home, or anywhere there’s internet. I want to create an online dance club! We will schedule our zoom meetings on the Events page where I will have various genres of music to choose from. My dance videos can be found at thewheelworld7 on YouTube.
The Wheel World will be a free site. I want everyone to be able to come.
